MEET SHERRIE

Meet Sherrie, our farm’s certified FEEL practitioner (Facilitated Equine Experiential Learning) ®.

Sherrie’s love for animals started at an early age. She grew up on her family’s ranch in Aldergrove BC where they hosted a children’s day camp. Most of her free time was spent on the ranch working as a camp counsellor, caring for the animals, and nurturing her love for horses.

Sherrie spent many years working as a Veterinary Technician at an equine clinic, eventually branching out in her career to join an animal welfare organization. Her passion for non-profit work and horses has culminated so that she now sits as President on the board of directors for a non-profit which rehabilitates and re-homes off-track racehorses.

Through her many years of experience, Sherrie realized the power of working with horses and their ability to facilitate positive change in people’s lives. This motivated Sherrie to further her knowledge and become a certified FEEL (Facilitated Equine Experiential Learning) ® practitioner. Sherrie now uses the Equine Assisted Learning method she learned during her FEEL training to aid in the growth, healing, and personal transformation of her clients through day camps, workshops, and individual sessions.

Sherrie is passionate about connecting people with horses to bring about positive change. While her training dictates the structure of every program and session, the true teachers are the horses.
