Your kids will love their time at the Unbridled Discovery Farm. They will engage with animals, disconnect for their devices, and learn the core aspects of horsemanship. By unplugging from their devices, they will grow a deeper appreciation for the beautiful world we all live in.

EQUINE ASSISTED LEARNING FOR kids

WELCOME TO OUR KID-FRIENDLY FARM

Bring your kids to our farm to unplug from their devices and connect to nature. Our farm experience is designed to teach basic horsemanship such as grooming, leading, and care along with the core principles of Equine Assisted Learning. Most of the days will be spent learning about animal welfare, how all of our animals are rescues, and the backstories of each critter. This is a very hands-on experience that allows children to learn more about themselves under the guidance of horses. Additional activities include interacting with the other farm animals and farm-themed crafts.

We recommend that kids arrive dressed for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes, and bring a lunch.

Your child will learn how to disconnect from their video games and re-connect with nature. Through experiential learning we teach them how to interact with horses, how to create boundaries with animals, and what life is like living on a farm. They will spend most of the time engaging directly with the farm animals and learning about their daily life on the farm.

While we encourage parents pick-up and drop-off at the scheduled times, we can accommodate those that need the extra time for an additional cost. Please communicate this with Sherrie in advance.

Absolutely. Your children will be monitored by an adult at all times and will be given clear instructions on how to interact with the animals. All of our animals are very friendly and gentle.

No. We encourage parents to ensure their children have an adequate lunch and snack so they have something to eat come lunch time.

Of course! While many of the sessions will overlap in terms of material the kids thoroughly enjoy interacting with the animals and building a life-long friendship with each other.
